About

I’m a licensed professional counselor, who spent five years as a behavioral health consultant embedded in primary care and specialty medical settings working directly alongside physicians and medical teams. I now specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — an evidence-based approach that builds psychological flexibility, which is the ability to respond to difficult thoughts, feelings, sensations, emotions, behavioral compulsions, and memories without being ruled by them. In short, it is what allows you to live your life rather than manage it. ACT is an active, structured therapy — it involves practicing skills between sessions and deliberately engaging with difficult internal experiences, not just talking about them. That includes moving toward thoughts, feelings, and sensations you’ve been avoiding, rather than managing or suppressing them. Most people who come to me have already tried thinking, managing, or avoiding their way out of the problem. This is a different approach — one focused on getting you back to living, not on getting you to feel better first. I work with a broad range of presentations — including anxiety, phobias, compulsive patterns, and PTSD — as well as with the specific stressors that come with medical and frontline work. My current session fee is $150 per 60 minute session. To accommodate shift workers or those with variable schedules, as found, for example, in medicine and emergency/frontline work, I am willing to find a time that works. If this sounds like a good fit, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute video consultation or schedule directly.
